City Council Members
Rogers Badgett Rogers Badgett and his wife Candace are the owners and operators of the Raj Resort, Inc., and Badgett Construction and Development Corporation. In 1993 they built The Raj, now in Maharishi Vedic City, which has consistently drawn visitors from all around the world. Before construction of the Raj was undertaken in 1990, Rogers owned, operated, or had joint ventures in mining, oil exploration, steel production, reforestation, and river barges. He has participated in a number of family investments, including a 25% ownership in the Boston Red Sox. He was a visiting faculty member in investments at Maharishi University of Management from 1980 to 1990. Rogers and Candace are founding members of Maharishi Vedic City—City Council; Candace served from 2001 to 2003.
Tim Fitz-Randolph Tim Fitz-Randolph is the President of Mandala One, Inc. and developer of the Mandala One Village, the first complete residential development based on the principles of Vedic architecture, the ancient science of designing and building in harmony with the laws of nature. He has built and renovated commercial real estate in Iowa for eleven years. He also founded The Iowa Group, Inc., a computer wholesale and retail company in Iowa, and the Atrium Information Group, Inc., a software development company which was purchased by Computer Associates International.
From 1990 to the present, Chris Johnson and his wife Dee have been president and vice president, respectively, of Vaisya Corporation and Rukmapura Park, LLC in Fairfield, Iowa. They have developed and manage a 240-acre residential and resort complex, and over 150 hotel, commercial and residential units, including the Rukmapura Park Hotel and Resort. From 1978 to 1990, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were president and vice president, respectively, of Johnson Real Estate Development in Santa Rosa, California where they developed and managed over 200 commercial and residential units in Northern California. Chris and Dee Johnson are founding members of Maharishi Vedic City—City Council; Dee served from 2001 to 2003.
 
Bill Goldstein   Bill Goldstein was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He received his BA from Colby College in 1972, became a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation Technique® in 1973 and received his J.D. from the University of San Diego Law School in 1977. From 1977 to 1980 he worked for the law firm of Lamm and Schader in Boulder, Colorado. In 1981 he became Legal Council for Maharishi University of Management, where he continues. He is also General Counsel for the David Lynch Foundation and the National Legal Director for Maharishi Vedic Education Development Corporation. He and his family—wife Leslee and children Samuel and Alena—have lived in Maharishi Vedic City since 2006. Bill has served on the City Council since 2009.
 
Maureen Wynne  

Maureen M. Wynne, Ph.D.: Attorney; Secretary and Director, Global Country of World Peace; Secretary and Director, Maharishi World Peace Vedic Organics; City Council member, Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa; served for seven years as City Attorney of Maharishi Vedic City and for 13 years as Dean of Faculty of Maharishi University of Management. Developed the first campus for Maharishi Vedic Pandits in America in 2004, developed one of the first four developments in Maharishi Vedic City 1991–1997. Former Senior Attorney for Panhandle Eastern Corporation in Texas, and former head of the Houston office of the Texas State Securities Board.  BA, Trinity University (1968); JD, University of Texas School of Law (1970); Ph.D. in Law, MERU (2004)
